This course is designed for the complete novice or trainees with very little experience. The HSC Code of Practice requires that anyone taking up lift truck operating for the first time should undergo a novice course of training.

COURSE R - EXISTING OPERATOR TRAINING AND TEST COURSE
This course is for existing/untrained operators, with at least Six months operating experience on the type of truck to be trained on. It is not sufficient to carry out just a test on existing operators, they should also be given the correct safety training.

Conversion course’s are also available from One truck type to another which may require less time.
COURSE CR - CERTIFICATE RENEWAL (RETEST)
Although certificates of basic training do not expire, there is a recommendation within L117 and PUWER1998 that an employer supplies refresher training. The normal time scale within the industry at the present time is Three years. (But this would be down to the employer or their insurance company requirements).

This course is designed for operators who have previously been tested by an registered instructor/examiner and issued with a certificate or where the operator has moved from One company to another.

All truck types would be One day for a maximum of three trainees.
COURSE TTN AND TTR - TOW TRACTOR/TRUCK OPERATOR COURSE
These courses would depend on the type of towing equipment, application and trainee experience. (Please contact for further information).
Other courses that we offer and which further information is available would include:

Lift truck Attachments, - Paper Roll Clamps - Bale Clamps - Rotating Forks - Fork Spreader - Lifting Jibs - Safe Working Platforms - Carpet and Coil Booms.

All training courses are carried out on site at the customer's premises. In this way the training is specific to the local environment and on the particular truck that the trainees will use after training in their own workplace.

Our instructor will normally be in attendance from 08.00 to 16.30 each day and will require the following facilities.

Your truck (One per course) in a safe sound mechanical condition for the duration of the course.

A supply of stackable loads and empty pallets in a practical training area set aside from the main work area.

On most courses for novices we will require access to the main work area (These times will be arranged by our instructor).

We will require access to a room in which we can conduct classroom type lessons. (All of our instructors bring their own ohp and tv/videos or lap tops and projector for Powerpoint presentations.

Your trainees uninterrupted attendance for the duration of the course.

Lift truck operators should be at least 17 years of age and be physically capable of operating the machine safely and be able to recognize a trucks limitations and potential dangers. All lift truck operators and potential operators should be screened for fitness - guidance may be obtained from the HSE employment medical advisory service.

Your company will receive a A4 laminated RTITB Certificate of Basic Lift Truck training for each successful trainee and a plastic wallet containing an operators identity card. The company also receives an instructor's report and all associated test sheets. We maintain all of our records for future reference.
